Our idea on privacy

In running these businesses, BI.Garage receives and/or collects personal information from customers, business partners, employees, etc. In handling personal information, BI.Garage duly recognizes the importance of privacy protection and pays its utmost care to such protection. BI.Garage’s view on privacy is described in the following items that BI.Garage is determined to implement firmly.

Personal Information

BI.Garage defines personal information as "the name, address, date of birth, profession, and other descriptions of an individual; numbers, symbols, and other codes that are given to the individual; and images and voices that can identify the individual (including data which may not directly identify the individual but may be used to identify the individual by cross-checking it with other data)."

Collecting, using and giving personal information

When collecting personal information, BI.Garage will clearly state the purpose of use, collect personal information in a lawful and fair manner, and will not use such personal information other than for the stated purpose. The purpose of use as defined by BI.Garage is described in the separate sheet "Handling Personal Information."
In addition, BI.Garage will not collect, use, or provide personal information concerning race, ethnicity, family line, family status, birth place, permanent domicile, religion, political view, labor union membership, or sexual life of the individual.
Moreover, BI.Garage will not provide collected personal information to any other third party without the obtained consent of the individual. However, in the cases where BI.Garage receives an order to submit personal information in accordance with a law (in the cases where BI.Garage is ordered by a court, Public Prosecutors Office, the police, or other legal agency to submit information given by customers, ID registration content, and/or registration profile), BI.Garage may submit such information.
To prevent personal information from being used for other than the stated purpose of use, BI.Garage will create internal rules on the handling of personal information, distribute such rules to all officers, employees, temporary staff, etc. (hereinafter "Employees") and handle personal information accordingly.

BI.Garage complies with laws, guidelines and other standards established by the Government of Japan.

Security management

To ensure the accuracy and security of personal information, BI.Garage implements safety measures to protect personal information, which also contributes to the prevention of leakage, loss and damage of personnel information. BI.Garage also periodically reviews its security measures and makes revisions as necessary.

Purpose of use

BI.Garage, Inc.(hereinafter referred to as "BI.Garage") shall use personal information it obtains solely for the following purposes, except when required by laws and regulations:

  1. Personal information of applicants shall be used for promotional activities, including prize offering and campaigns outsourced to BI.Garage from clients and consignors.
  2. Personal information of visitors to the BI.Garage website who give their consent to receive our email newsletters on products, services, campaigns, events, etc. shall be used for sending such email newsletters.
  3. Personal information of individuals seeking a career change or new employment shall be used to carry out our career-change and recruitment service.

  10. Photographs and videos of visitors to BI.Garage reception and office shall be used for BI.Garage to carry out security control.

Provision to third parties

BI.Garage shall not provide any personal information to any third party without the consent of the individual, except in cases permitted by laws and regulations, cases where BI.Garage outsources part of its services, and cases defined in the our service terms, etc.

Outsourcing

BI.Garage may outsource part of its service to an outsourcing contractor and provide personal information to the outsourcing contractor in order to offer better services to its customers. In such cases, BI.Garage shall select an outsourcing contractor who can maintain a sufficient level of confidentiality, and conclude an agreement with the outsourcing contractor regarding the protection of personal information, and thoroughly oversee and supervise the contractor regarding such personal information.

Voluntary provision

Provision of personal information to BI.Garage is voluntary. However, if an individual wishes to withhold part of the personal information needed by BI.Garage, BI.Garage may by unable to conclude an agreement with the individual or provide services to such individual. In case of major changes in our personal information protection policy, BI.Garage shall publicly post the changes on its website.

Direct Mailing

BI.Garage may send email messages to customers who provide consent, regarding services provided by BI.Garage. These emails introduce various products and services currently available and those which will be offered in the future, as well as notices from advertisers. The sending of advertising mail requires the agreement of the company or customer, and is limited to companies with which the company has concluded a non-disclosure agreement. The sender is clearly specified when sending advertising email.

Cookies

Cookies are used on some pages of our website. A cookie is a text file received from the web server containing information of each visitor to the site, and is stored on a hard disk.
